“A red propeller plane carried me eastwards, towards Gotland, with a loud roar. Small towering clouds traced rhythmic patterns across the Baltic Sea alongside the archipelago.”

“The rocky landmass of Sweden’s east coast, with its offshore archipelagos of hard granite, is almost invisible on nautical charts. In my 1:50,000-scale recreational boating charts, which I have worked on with ink, they clearly play the leading role in the work ‘Flight to Visby’.”

Several black-and-white paintings featuring abstract, map-like shapes hang in a diagonal line on a white wall. The motifs depict white areas and lines against a black background, reminiscent of coastlines or watercourses.
