Siri Iversen-Ejve is a visual artist based on Gotland. She got her degree at Oslo National Academy of the Arts 2013 where she also had an Erasmus exchange to Central Saint Martins in London 2012. Through painting she creates different worlds based on what she sees, from reality but also from imagination. Siri Iversen-Ejve mixes everyday life with dreams and likes to see them come together in her work. She is addicted to being touched by new impressions in everyday life that give new inspiration to her painting and her work.

"I travelled to Dortmund with my family by train. I wanted to work with roads and how ”the road” as a symbol of moving forward can impact the work. The road for me is a symbolic attachment of time and space; it gets imprinted in my memories."

"During the stay something traumatic happened that made me feel rootless. My work changed so I had to find new roots during my scholarship. The road took on new ways, like Dortmund and my work. And honestly, it made me grow even more as an artist."
